Q. Ce modalitati de plata acceptati?

Q. Permiteti asa-numitul "overselling"?
A. Nu!
Acest procedeu, deseori, este adus la cunostinta clientului in forma de optiune adaugatoare gratisa, un fel de prima!? De fapt,  este o metoda de a vinde un surplus de spatiu si banda alocata care, la moment, nu sunt utilizate de alti clienti, la mai multi clienti. Astfel apar pachete de gazduire de zeci sau sute de GB cu doar cativa dolari pe luna.
Dragii nostri, nu exista servere cu memorie infinita si procesoare magice. Toate aceste pachete gigantice se bazeaza pe presupunerea ca clientul mediu nu utilizeaza aceste sute de GB. De fapt, un web site mediu utilizeaza cam 50-100MB de spatiu. Unele companii de hosting promoveaza pachete, vanzand unul si acelas spatiu la mai multi clienti. In resultat procesorul serverului nu poate asimila multimea de cereri de acces din internet. Site-ul devine tot mai incet, deseori nu este accesibil, suportul declarat nu raspunde la e-mail, telefoanele sunt ocupate etc.
Daca unul din 100 de clienti incearca sa utilizeze toate resursele declarate, contul lui este cancelat in curand, pe motiv ca utilizeaza prea multe resurse ale procesorului. Asa si este. In multe cazuri viabilitatea si accesibilitatea site-ului nu depind de spatiul care il ocupa pe disk sau banda de acces declarata. Procesoarele nu fac fata sarcinei deservirii multimii de conturi "inghesuite" pe unul si acelas spatiu.
Avcesta este sensul asa numitului "overselling".
Noi nu ne permitem asa ceva, de aceia clientii nostri raman cu noi. 
Deci, subiectul lectiei este: nu cautati compania de hosting bazandu-va doar pe volumul spatiului si banda alocata. Intrebati daca ei au overselling. Daca da - mai bine cautati in alta parte. Un criteriu precis al overselling-ului sunt pachete da gazduire de zeci de GB cu doar cativa dolari pe luna.

Q. Ce servere utilizati Unix, sau NT?
A. Serverele noastre sunt Linux Red Hat 7.3. si Red Hat 9.0

Q. Permiteti web site-uri cu continut specific "adult"?
A. Da, odata ce continutul lor este legal

Q. Plata lunara sau anuala include si taxele VAT etc?
A. Da, taxele sunt incluse in pretul afisat

Q. Do you offer telnet or shell access?
A. No due to security reason's we do not offer telnet or shell access. You are still able to unzip files on the server using our file manager as well as the ability to setup Cron jobs

A. Yes you can password protect directory's within cPanel

DNS

Q. Cat timp necesita propagarea Domeniilor noi?
A. De obicei sunt necesare 2-48 ore pentru ca site-ul Dvs sa fie accesibil in orice parte a internet-ului. Noi va oferim o adresa temporara, bazata pe IP, imediat dupa procedura de inregistrare si plata pentru site. Peste 10-20 min primiti un eMail in care sunt toate datele necesare pentru a publica site-ul si sa-l activati.

Q. Cum voi seta DNS valorile pentru site-ul meu?
A. Daca ati cumparat Domen-ul prin noi nu trebuie sa faceti nimic. Noi vom face toate inregistrarile necesare.

Daca aveti de acum un Nume Domeniu (cumparat la alt hoster sau  alt Registrar, si nu este expirat) va trebui sa setati valorile Domain Name Servers (DNS) la acel Registrar. Valorile noastre pentru servere DNS, de obicei, sunt asemanatoare cu cele de mai jos:
Server1: ns1.selectfix.com
Server2: ns2.selectfix.com
Pentru a seta valorile DNS, trebuie sa aveti acces la panoul de control al Domeniului Dvs. In unele cazuri accesul la campurile DNS este limitat, blocat de Registrar. In acest caz trebuie sa trimiteti un eMail la compania unde ati cumparat Domeniul pentru ca ei sa deblocheze accesul sau sa faca schimbarile necesare pentru Dvs. Este important ca sa comunicati cu acel Registrar, de la aceias adresa e-Mail, ce ati indicat-o la cumpararea Domeniului. Daca, la aceasta etapa apar dificultati, Va rugam sa ne contactati prin e-Mail. Compania noastra are experienta de acest fel asa ca, chear si in cele mai dificile cazuri, procesul ocupa nu mai mult de 1-7 zile. Noi hostam cu succes clienti ce au domenii nationale .ru, .gr, .ro, .md etc.

Q. It's not letting me upload my files what's wrong?
A. Make sure you are uploading to the right web directory which is the public_html folder

The main recommendation is to transfer files ONE by ONE!

Sometimes the connection is loosed by the Client FTP because of a number of files and directories to be uploaded and site structure is not established yet. Some FTP clients allow you to increase dead time waiting period, some of them not. It may appear first time, then you upload a lot of files. After that, during normal maintenance, refresh site etc, as site structure is already established, the effect disappear.

Randomly, first time users are experiencing problems with FileZilla FTP. To fix this problem, try:
- Clicking on Edit, then select Settings. Click on Firewall Settings, which is found underneath Connection in the left hand window. In the Firewall settings window (right side), click the Passive Mode checkbox to turn it on if it is currently off. If it is on, click the same checkbox to turn it off. If you connect to our server and get disconnected quickly, this is the solution

Q. Why doesn't my ftp password change when I change my Cpanel password?
A. Please allow 24 hours for your FTP password to sync with your Cpanel password

E-mail

Q. How do I create email accounts?
A. To create an email account login to your control panel and click add/remove email account's. The procedure is applicable with standart eMail otion only.

If, during sign-up, you have selected an extended, +2GB mailbox, you will receive a special letter regarding mail accounts. Extended mailboxes are provided in partnership with Google. Their management is done using special control panel, not cPanel.

CGI/ASP/PHP/MySql/JSP

Q. None of my cgi scripts are working on the server. How do I get them to work?
A. Make sure that they are chmoded to 755

Q. How do I create databases and manage them?
A. Login to your cPanel and click MySQL Databases. After your database is created you can manage it from phpMyAdmin. This can be found at the very bottom of the MySQL page

A. We need to activate the shared SSL on each site manually that will require it

Q. I'm going to purchase my own SSL what do I need to know?
A. Our servers are Apache + Mod SSL. You will require assistance from us to install it and there will be a $30.00 installation fee. To work properly SSL requires a distinct IP. It cost $2.5 CAD/month.

Q. How do I transfer a SSL?
A. Every place that sells SSL's has a different transfer procedure. You will need to ask the supplier you purchased it from

Subdomains

Q. READ THIS BEFORE SETTING UP A SUBDOMAIN!
A. To create a sub domain cPanel asks for the name you wish to use. MAKE SURE the Subdomain name you give it doesn't have a folder already named that name. If it does the sub will not work. Example... I want to create the Subdomain test.mydomain.com so my Sub name is going to be TEST. If I already have a folder in my ftp named TEST I need to delete it or rename it to something different before I create the subdomain with the TEST name from cPanel

Q. What is a subdomain?
A. www.domain.com is a domain name. A subdomain is anything that replaces the www in a domain name:  forum.aol.com is a subdomain. www.forum.aol.com is not a subdomain

Addon Domains

Q. What is an addon domain?
A. An addon domain is a fully functional domain that will work out of a folder in your main sites ftp

Q. Read this before setting up an Addon Domain!
You cannot create an Addon domain if your DNS hasn't propagated to the server already. So after you change the sites DNS you are trying to add you will need to wait 24-48 hours before attempting to create your Addon domain

A. There are three fields cPanel asks for when creating an addon domain:
1. "New Domain Name:"   You will put in the newdomain.com do not put www in the name!

2. "Username/directory/subdomain Name:" This will be the folder cpanel creates in your main accounts . MAKE SURE that the name you give it doesn't already have a folder.
Example... If you want to give it the username 'chris'. You cannot have a folder in your account named 'chris' already. If you do and still try creating the username for the addon domain to be chris, you will mess a lot of things up!

3. "Password:" fill in any password you want here 

Q. Help! I added an Addon domain why did it say Subdomain added?
A. It creates it as a Subdomain by creating the folder within your main sites ftp. Please ignore this! It is a fully functional domain name. It is only called a Subdomain when in fact it is an Addon domain

A. While we do support Mac users, the unique structure of the Macintosh platform raises several compatibility issues.

If you have not already come across this information, it will be invaluable to you in setting up and maintaining a website.
